A commission by publisher Cappelen Damm to make a book cover for a novel by Åsne Maria Gundersen. The book tells a story about a woman losing her mother to a longterm illness. The image i wished to recreate is a scene from the book, where the leading character is packing up her childhood home. Both the colour palette and illustrated scenery is inspired by ‘70s retro interior. Its a story about memories, emotional attachment, guilt and letting go.
